Question

COVID Protocols

Answer

Update: In addition to strongly encouraging all guests to be fully vaccinated, we are also requiring everyone (regardless of vaccination status) to have a negative COVID test result within 72 hours of the event, or documentation of having recently recovered from COVID-19. We will provide additional details as the event gets closer. We are closely monitoring local restrictions to ensure the safety of all guests. At this time, masks are required in the church, but we will update as policies change.

Question

Will there be transportation to the reception?

Answer

Everyone is welcome to take the shuttle to the reception. We booked 2 school buses that will go between the ceremony in Hartford and the reception in Coventry (25 minute drive). Shuttle timeline from Hartford: 3:00 Ceremony ends 3:30 Buses leave from the church 4:00 Reception begins in Coventry 8:30 Early bus option back to Hartford 10:00 Reception ends; all buses return to Hartford There will also be a separate shuttle that leaves from East Hartford.

Question

Will the event be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors, while the reception will be partially outdoors. Dinner will be in a heated tent on the lawn, while drinks and dancing will be on the patio and in the barns (no heat). Due to the historic nature of the reception venue, patio heaters are limited, so please dress for the weather!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The event is semi-formal, but you are encouraged to dress warmly for the reception. Also, part of the reception will be on the lawn so choose footwear accordingly.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Free parking is available in the Saints Surface Parking Lot located directly across the street from St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church. Guests are permitted to leave their cars in the lot overnight if needed. There is also plenty of parking at the Nathan Hale Homestead.
