Ashley & Katie both own small businesses and have a dream to own a store together someday!!

Ashley and Miranda met in 2010 at college where Miranda was one of Ashley’s first college friends. While there they laughed a lot and spent way too much money on Topper’s Stix 😂 When spending time together now you can find them tandem biking around Lake Mills or melting into the couch while watching reality TV!

Ashley also met Sara in college. Ashley admired Sara and thought she was super cool, and was really excited when they finally became friends! Ashley’s favorite times spent with Sara is their trip to Boston for Katie’s wedding, or their trip to Sara’s childhood home with Ali!

Ashley and Ali met when they were on the same RA team together in college. Ali and Ashley bonded early on while dealing with all the “fun times” as RAs, and it created a friendship that was built to last! Ashley and AIi share a history of high school dance, so check us out on the dance floor 😂

Ashley met Sidney at Amherst College where they bonded over working in the wild world of Amherst Residence Life. Ashley was Sidney's first supervisor after undergrad and she set the bar pretty high ;) They also bonded while eating yummy food and drinking bubble tea! Ashley is happy their friendship grew beyond their time at Amherst! If you want a good story ask Sidney about the time her and Ashley got attacked by seagulls in a kayak on the downtown MKE river!
Kelsey, Myles, Cole, Chris, and Hannah
Matron of Honor
Anhthu and Kelsey met during their first year of college at UW-Madison. While taking advantage of the air conditioning in Kelsey’s dorm, Anhthu walked up to Kelsey and said, “I like your zombie T-shirt.” From there, a once-in-a-lifetime kind of best friendship began. The first thing Anhthu noticed about Kelsey was her adventurous spirit, it was like when Huckleberry Finn met Tom Sawyer. Anhthu and Kelsey have traveled together in 8 different countries, enjoying many impromptu experiences along the way. Anhthu admires Kelsey’s ability to handle any situation with a positive attitude.
Bridesman
Anhthu and Myles met during recess in elementary school. Anhthu ran up to Myles and said, “Shut up, Jacob!” and punched Myles in the stomach. Fast forward to eighth grade, Anhthu and Myles became the closest of friends, with Myles serving as her bodyguard and bike chauffeur. Countless childhood days spent together biking around Apple Valley, Minnesota culminated in a recent all-day moped island tour in Vietnam. Myles’ ability to make people feel supported and loved is what Anhthu admires most about him.
Bridesman
Anhthu and Cole met in middle school while hanging out with Myles. Together, they accomplished everything a kid could hope for, including creating their own games, building forts, paintballing, and archery. Anhthu’s favorite memory with Cole is the time they unexpectedly walked into a Schnapps festival and drank their way through it. Anhthu admires Cole’s gentle and kind-hearted personality and his love for trying new experiences and foods.
Bridesman
Anhthu met Chris while on a field trip in sixth grade. Chris had just moved to Minnesota and was very quiet back then. Because he never spoke to her, Anhthu was convinced Chris didn’t like her. He finally mustered up the courage to say hello and they have been friends ever since! Some of Anhthu’s favorite experiences with Chris are watching sunrises together with a cup of coffee and kayaking down the Ohio River. Anhthu admires Chris’ ability to find beauty in the things people overlook.
Bridesmaid & Wedding Singer
Anhthu met Hannah while visiting Kelsey in London during a semester abroad. They bonded over the shared experience of being smart asses within the first five minutes of knowing each other and food as a top travel priority. Some of Anhthu’s favorite memories with Hannah are their chaotic travels across Europe, including losing each other for a full day in Greece. Anhthu admires Hannah’s fun-loving nature and her beautiful singing voice.
Kelly, Emily, Saoirse, Rowan and Andrew
Officiant
Ashley and Emily met in middle school, which makes her Ashley’s oldest friend in attendance at the wedding! They met through church which truly built the foundation for a friendship based on critical thinking, questioning, and pure childhood joy. Ashley & Anhthu are grateful for having a queer officiant who they have a special connection with! If you want a good story, ask Emily what happened to her the first time Ashley & Emily met!
Dessert Extraordinaire
Ashley met Kelly in college but they strengthened their friendship when they both worked in Residence Life at UW-Madison. Kelly and Ashley bonded extra over the pandemic when they played many many many hours of Animal Crossing- our islands were so cute! Ashley is obsessed with Kelly's baking, and Anhthu & Ashley are so grateful Kelly is providing the sugar cookie desserts for the wedding!
Flower Girl
Saoirse & Rowan are Ashley’s nieces who Ashley & Anhthu just adore ❤️ Saoirse is incredibly smart, kind, and quick-witted, while Rowan is goofy, loving, and joyful! They are the perfect addition to the wedding ceremony!
Ring Bearer
Andrew is Anhthu's favorite and only nephew. This is his first big job, so please take it easy on him ;) Andrew is a bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ball of energy. His role models are Anhthu and the Hulk.
