We'll see you in Cartagena! / ¡Nos vemos en Cartagena!

After working at the same company for over a year, our paths crossed one night walking to the train. We quickly connected as Andrés told me he was Colombian and I excitedly told him about my recent trip to Cartagena. From then on, we became fast friends, but we both knew there was something more there. The rest is history! Trabajabamos en la misma empresa pero no nos conocíamos hasta que un día salimos del trabajo al mismo tiempo. Mientras caminábamos juntos hacia el tren el me dijo que era de Colombia y yo le conté que había ido a Cartagena hacía poco tiempo. Desde ese momento nos volvimos amigos pero ambos sabíamos que había algo más que solo eso.

We took a much-needed last minute trip to the American Club and Kohler Water Spa in Wisconsin after our trips to Arizona and Colombia were both canceled due to COVID-19. After a couple of days there, we had some time before our upcoming spa appointments, so we walked around the grounds and found a cozy, secluded room toward the back of the hotel. We sat down in front of the fire when all of a sudden, Andrés knelt down on one knee, pulled the ring out of his pocket and proposed. We spent a few minutes hugging and crying happy tears together when I finally managed to say yes! After that, we went to the spa and had a wonderful massage. The whole experience was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing! Hicimos un viaje de última hora al American Club Kholer Water Spa en Wisconsin después de que los viajes que habíamos planeado a Arizona y a Colombia los cancelamos por precacución de COVID. Después de pasar un par de días en el hotel y antes de empezar el día de spa que teníamos reservado fuimos a caminar por los jardines del hotel y encontramos una sala acogedora y apartada hacia la parte trasera del hotel. Nos sentamos frente a la chimenea cuando de repente, Andrés se arrodilló y sacó el anillo de su bolsillo y me propuso matrimonio. Después de unos minutos abrazándonos y llorando de la felicidad le dije que sí! Después tuvimos un gran día de spa. La experiencia fue completamente perfecta y no le cambiaría nada!
