On January 04, 2020, Ashleigh made an online dating profile and immediately came across Von's profile. Step 1) They matched. Step 2) After chatting obsessively for 2 days they decided to meet over dinner at the Cheesecake Factory in Santa Monica, CA. Step 3) Before Ashleigh could meet a stranger in person, fearing that she'd get catfished (come on ya'll... Von is fine as hell), she requested that Von share a photo of his Driver's License so her family could know who she was with. He sent it like a champ, he was so understanding (she peeped his dad potential right there). After that date, 8 days later, Von was named "Future Babe" in Ashleigh's phone... she knew they'd be here someday soon.
So you're probably wondering why you're getting invited to this now, if Von proposed in July 2023, right? Well, Von has proposed a total of 3 times, my man is extraaa romantic. In July of 2023 though, Von made a dinner reservation at a beautiful restaurant, named after Ashleigh's dad, called Craig's, in Beverly Hills for their 3-year anniversary. They shared a beautiful dinner together. Von had a vegan burger and Ashleigh, the spaghetti squash primavera with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. They enjoyed dinner, laughed while people watching (there are some characters that eat there), and then left. After a few awkward moments, they finally made it to the car, where Von drove them to the Beverly Gardens fountain (pictured above). They walked from the car and sat in front of the fountain to chat about their relationship. Talking about how far they made it together, what they loved about each other, and where they could see themselves headed. Suddenly, Von asked Ashleigh to stand for a moment... as she did, he got settled onto one knee and asked her, "Will you marry me?". For Ashleigh, her whole world stopped for a moment... she couldn't hear any of the groups of people nearby, the guys cheering Von on.. nothing. She watched tears fall on Von's handsome face... and felt so overwhelmed, that no words immediately came out. Instead of screaming, "YES, YES, YES!!", she reached into her purse for something she had been carrying forever. 2 Taco Bell packets, then handed them to Von and told him to read them. It was too dark for Von to read the packets, let alone he was very confused why she didn't just say "YES"! So she read them for him... one said, "Of course I will" and the other, "Yes to forever!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you, the incredible people that have been a part of our journey. You were there for the moments we needed you most and now, a moment to celebrate our love. If there's one thing that Von and I have learned along the way... it's that love takes work, patience, trust, and faith. We hope that our love inspires you to reach deep into yourselves and to continue pouring love into those you care for. Love, Ashleigh & Von
