Jordan Pond is one of the park's most pristine lakes, with outstanding surrounding mountain scenery. Glaciers carved the landscape, leaving behind numerous geological features. Enjoy canoeing and kayaking, exploring the nearby carriage roads or stop-in the Jordan Pond House to try their famous tea and popovers.
If exploring breath-taking views while also getting in a good sweat seems up your ally, we highly recommend exploring the Carriage Roads in the park. If you're interested in biking the Carriage Roads but don't want to bring your bike, you can rent both bikes and bike racks at daily and weekly rates from several downtown bike shops! If mobility is a concern, you can even rent an electric bike, which is in fact permitted on the Carriage Roads! https://pedegoelectricbikes.com/dealers/bar-harbor/ https://www.acadiaoutfitters.com/testimonials
There is nothing like a Cadillac sunrise or sunset! If you're feeling adventurous, take a hike up the mountain. For those who are interested in the view without the climb, getting there by car is easy. Please note that in addition to a park pass, all vehicles require reservations for Cadillac Mountain and these must be in advance. Visit the link for more information!
