Arushi and Jessica met 5 years ago in Seattle at Red Hook Brew lab. They quickly connected over their appreciation of craft brew, travel, and hiking. Jessica was especially impressed with Arushi's excel document of hikes broken down regionally by distance and elevation. They immediately went on various lengthy trails allowing them to get exclusive time to discuss each other's background and future goals. Arushi was inspired by Jessica's experience in alpine hiking and Jessica found Arushi's backpacking stories very motivating. They were excited by each other's enthusiasm for exploration and shared several snowshoeing, camping and hiking trips over the next set of years. In September 2021, under the northern lights in Alaska, Jessica proposed to Arushi. In turn, Arushi proposed to Jessica via picnic in her favorite city park (Balboa Park). In December 2022, they brought home their son Rami and are absolutely in love with him. They can't wait to include him in their next set of adventures and show him more of the beautiful planet on which they live.
