Wedding Party

While a few of the wedding party members will be in attendance on our day, we still wanted to give a shout out to all those we were planning to be by our sides from the beginning.

Alicia Long

Matron of Honor

Alicia is Courtney's younger, beautifully talented at beauty, sister. She is coming all the way from Texas with her husband Jake (also a groomsman) and Courtney's two fun loving nephews, Colton and Cason who are doubling as Usher and Ring Bearer. There is no telling how many sister fights these two got into as kids, but as they grew ,so did their love for each other. You may hear the term sister love, and Courtney couldn't be happier to have her sister with her this weekend.

Michael Eggerling

Best Man

Andrew has known Michael for over a decade. They met Memorial Day Weekend 2009 when Jason Jenks asked if he "could invite his friend who loves to party". After several days of boating, beer pong, and Jay-Z mashups, Andrew knew he had a lifelong friend and brother. Fast forward through a couple years as roommates, countless trips to sports and camping, some hospital visits, and many, many IPAs, and Michael was a natural choice to head this group of guys.

Jenna Dower

Bridesmaid

Jenna is and will always be Courtney's line dance partner in crime. Courtney met Jenna when she moved to Irvine, CA from Austin Texas. They became quick friends that loved the beach, sports and most of all line dancing. Courtney Jenna and Anne (Courtney's other bridesmaid) left for a trip to Bali weeks after Courtney met Andrew. Courtney may have casually mentioned the cute guy she had met back and Seattle during the excursions up volcanos, temples and beaches. Jenna even helped Courtney get settled in, in Seattle. So it would be no surprise Courtney would want Jenna to stand with her on her next great adventure.

Derek McCallum

Groomsman

The groomsman with the longest tenure, Derek and Andrew met in fourth grade when they happened to end up on the same rec basketball team. They spent the next several years hanging out at each other's house. Derek moved away to Missouri in middle school and then to Alabama for college. He returned to the Pacific Northwest to finish his degree at UW. Derek and Andrew picked up their friendship right where they left off. Despite always being substantially taller than Andrew, Derek could never handle the groom on the basketball court.

Anne McNeil

Bridesmaid

Ask Anne to a round of golf! Like Jenna, Courtney met Anne on the kickball field in Irvine. Oddly enough after talking about hanging out after the game, they found out they lived in the same apartment complex where they enjoyed days and the pool and wine tasting events. Anne shares Courtney's love for travel and they continue to meet up when they can. Even though they are far apart, both are there for each other through moves to different cities and are life long friends.

Jake Long

Groomsman

Courtney's current and Andrew's soon to be brother-in-law. Jacob is a born and raised Texan that enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. Jacob and Andrew met in 2017 and quickly realized despite growing up in very different parts of the country they had a lot in common and became fast friends.

Gabby Remole

Bridesmaid

You will know Gabby by her smile. Courtney first met Gabby while living in North Hollywood when Courtney's dog Bruce got loose like the wild cannon he is, and at the perfect moment as if fate, Gabby opens her door and Bruce marches in like he owns the place. Her Cat Wheland, was bright orange and much bigger than Bruce and when the opportunity presented itself, Wheland booped Bruce on the nose. Bruce hated cats from that day on, but Courtney and Gabby became life long friends, with almost uncanny parallels in their lives. Gabby is traveling with her husband Michael from (Not Chicago) Illinois.

Jason Jenks

Groomsman

Andrew met Jason in the fall of 2008 at Western Washington University. At the time both were young, aspiring CPAs with the dreams of making it big as a partner at a public accounting firm; times have changed. They share an intense passion for sports, particularly the Seahawks, and have traveled together for multiple games. Jason and his girlfriend Alisha live down the street from Andrew and Courtney in West Seattle which leads to nights of dinner, conversation, and wine late into the evening.

Melissa Pate

Bridesmaid

If you need someone to herd the cats, it is Melissa. Courtney and Melissa became fast friends and if Courtney gets a text its most likely from her and Daphne (Courtney's other bridesmaid). Melissa is traveling from NOLA with her husband David, who Courtney played kickball and indoor soccer with. Courtney and Melissa share the love of soccer, travel and dog rescue. Ask Melissa about the dog swing! Courtney can't let a major second or life event go by without having Mel here with her.

Brett Schreiber

Groomsman

Brett and Andrew met when Courtney brought her "new guy" over to the Schreiber's house for some wine and game night. Both Courtney and Daphne (Brett's wife and one of the bridesmaids) feared that their beaus, with their undisputed intelligence and dry sarcasm, would clash with each other. Quite the opposite, as they teamed up to crush the girls in game night. A friendship forged. Brett and Daphne have since moved to Phoenix and started a family, but stay in touch as much as they can and enjoy catching up over a bottle of wine whenever someone is able to visit.

Tiffany Kemppainen

Bridesmaid

Just when Courtney thought one sister was enough, she met Andrew's sister Tiffany and it was instant sisterhood. They stay in touch by sending chats over how much better the Seattle Seahawks are than the LA Rams and sharing hilarious memories and photos of Andrew. Tiffany was a great influence over this strapping young man. When Courtney finds Tiffany in West Seattle (just up the street from Tiffs' old house) you can find them at the dining table laughing over (a few) bottles of wine. She is traveling from California with her husband Paul and daughter Kahlo (best name ever) who is an usherette.

Alan Leach

Groomsman

Alan moved to Seattle in the summer of 2016 as an inter-firm transfer from BDO's Kalamazoo, Michigan office. Andrew was nearing the end of his time in the public accounting field and really took a liking to Alan because he did good work and therefore required minimal effort from Andrew. Loving sports and beer also helped. In the few months they worked together they became regular lunch and happy hour buddies, which carried over even after Andrew moved to Amazon shortly after Alan joined the Seattle office. Alan, his wife Katherine, and daughter Harley also just live down the road in West Seattle.

Diana Nguyen

Bridesmaid

Courtney first met Diana when her boss at Amazon Game Studio asked Courtney to go meet the new tech writer. Courtney took Diana to coffee and just like a good first date, it led to many more. Court and Diana bonded over ridiculous hours at the game studio. When Courtney came to Seattle for work, Diana was always the best host and took Courtney hiking, running and all the best spots. Diana did such a good job that Courtney decided to move to Seattle. Andrew thanks Diana.

Jacob Berg

Groomsman

Jacob is Andrew's younger brother, coming into the world while Andrew was a sophomore in high school. On the date of the wedding, Jacob will be just starting his senior year at Skyline High School. Though 15 years apart, Andrew and his little bro share many similar interests. Both love to golf (Jacob does this well, Andrew does not), spending time with friends and family, and having long debates on just about any topic.

Daphne Schreiber

Bridesmaid

Some of the first people Courtney met when she moved to Seattle was Daphne and her happy go lucky husband Brett. Daph and Court liked to play kickball tournaments and take tabata classes to another level. What were the odds that Courtneys new boyfriend and Daph's husband would hit it off and the four of them became good friends. They have since moved to Arizona, and added their beautiful daughter Avyanna to their family. Brett and Daph even share Courtney's love for running and just finished marathons in Arizona, Jan 2020.

John Peters

Groomsman

Andrew met John their first day of college after getting dropped off at Nash Hall in Bellingham by their parents. Just a few doors down on the sixth floor and sharing a love for social events (and let's be honest, beer), it only made sense that they became fast friends. After four years of college, John took off for San Diego, but they still get to see each other a few times a year when Andrew is in need of some beach or when John is up visiting friends and family.

Matt Gross

Officiant

Courtney met Matt one fateful day at Gasworks park. His laugh and love for American flag clothing Courtney noticed first. After many kickball games, Vegas trips, fantasy football, she decided to introduce him to Andrew. They instantly hit it off. I think we shocked Matt when we asked him to be part of our big day, but we were glad he said yes! We know he will make it that much more fun...no pressure Matt.

Kahlo Kemppainen

Usher

Andrew's niece and named after one of Courtney's favorite artists.
