Due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic and endless outbreak, we have carefully considered the circumstances and decided to cancel our wedding ceremony. The safety of our friends and family always comes first, and we cannot risk the health of our loved ones. We wholeheartedly thank you for your blessings, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If we decide to have a celebration in the future after the pandemic settles, we will invite everyone to celebrate with us again without worries. After months of detailed planning, it was definitely not an easy decision to confirm the cancellation. But we continue to remind ourselves to be grateful -- for our health, our family and friends, and our love. Most importantly is that we have found each other and are excited to spend the rest of our lives together. in Jan 2018, Arnold was in the middle of moving from California to Singapore so he could be closer to his parents who live in Hong Kong. Meanwhile, Karie had just returned to Taipei after completing business school in England and had just begun working at a computer technology firm. ----So how did you two cross paths?---- Fate is an interesting thing. One weekend, Arnold was on his way from Singapore back to San Francisco, and he decided to stop by Taipei to visit his close friend Simon who was on a temporary work assignment. They booked a hotel together and planned to explore the city for the weekend. While he was there, he also reached out to Mandy and YuHsing whom he met through another close friend Calvin few months prior in SF. One of the things you MUST check out when in Taipei are the Karaoke Bars. Mandy and Yuhsing called up some friends and brought Arnold to one; what Arnold could not have imagined was that he was going to meet his future wife there. Karie grew up with Mandy and Yuhsing and have been friends for over 15years. When Arnold met Karie, they immediately felt a connection. Even though the two had to endure the first few months via long distance, it helped set a strong foundation for their relationship. Arnold had since moved to Taipei and the rest is history!
