FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by 21st October 2023. If you do not RSVP by date listed we will not be able to accommodate you.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests are asked to be seated by 2:45pm as the ceremony will begin at 3pm SHARP!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be taking place indoors at the New Life Baptist Church. The reception will be taking place outdoors at the J. R. O'Neal Botanical Gardens; ladies, we recommend flat-soled shoes, chunky heels or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Melanin Garden-Formal. Guests are asked to dress in our “Melanin” color palette for cohesive photos.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! Although we have opted for an unplugged ceremony, there will be a social minute to take photos. Don’t forget to use our hashtag #HappilyEverIbechem

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not mandatory, we have registered for a few items we need for our newlywed home. Question

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

As our wedding is multicultural, we will be highlighting dishes from both cultures. Our cocktail hour will feature "Nigerian Small Chops" and our signature drinks "The Corporate Baddie & The Odogwu (The Strong Man)" followed by a cultural variety buffet dinner and a self serve dessert station.
