We can't wait to celebrate with you

I had just moved back home and was starting a new job. My first day of training was in March with Tyler. We hit it off instantly, with constant jokes and conversations about sports, tv shows, and other favorite things. We had started off as friends and I can remember using the excuse of a work related question in order to start talking to him on our off days. We started hanging out and going to lunches with our friends on half days. I even talked him into camping and a few trips to the dog park with my wild pup.

We had just worked an incredibly long holiday weekend packed full of overtime and exhaustion. He asked me out of the blue how I would feel about going hiking on our day off instead of spending another day inside due to COVID. I, of course was ready to be back outside and adventuring. Within moments my bestfriend messaged me asking about plans for Monday. I told her we were going hiking and that she should join us, not knowing he had planned the whole thing with her prior to asking me. Hours later she messaged me and told me that I needed to go with her Monday morning to get her nails fixed, once there she told me to pick a color for my own nails. I went along with it and chalked it up as a 'girls day'. Once back home we began on our way to the hiking destination. He gave me directions that led us to Wild Cat Waterfall. I instantly jumped out of the car once we were there and began the hike through the woods. It was a small hike and at the beginning there were two beautiful smaller waterfalls. Being the fun and adventurous couple we are, we both jumped into the water and under the falls. I was walking around and finding the most difficult spots to climb on, while he was worried about a solid spot to ask. I turned around and he grabbed my hand and began to ask. He looked at me and said, "What would you say to being my adventure buddy?" Me being my awkward self played dumb and asked if I wasn't already his adventure buddy. haha He looked at me and laughed, started to get down on one knee and asked again, "You know what I mean, how would you feel about being my adventure buddy for the rest of your life?" I instantly froze with the biggest smile on my face. I laughed and said absolutely. He got up and kissed me while I heard my bestfriend screaming in the background. We then turned around to show her the ring and he almost fell into the water. I couldn't stop laughing for anything.
