Ferry Information

To get to Vashon Island, you will have several ferry options (there are no bridges!). You can drive on the car ferry from West Seattle/Fauntleroy, Point Defiance (in Tacoma), or Southworth. If you're coming from Seattle or the airport, we recommend the West Seattle/Fauntleroy route. Tickets can be purchased in line at the ferry terminal and do not need to be purchased in advance. Prices are approximately $22 for a car & driver and $6 for each additional passenger. Tickets are roundtrip and are purchased on the mainland. Car reservations are not available on Vashon ferry routes. Flight

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA)

There are direct flights to SEA from virtually every major US city. Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines typically have the most options. There is a large off-site rental car facility that houses all major rental car companies. The ferry terminal at West Seattle/Fauntleroy is approximately a 20-minute drive from the airport, without traffic. Again, we highly recommend renting a car, as this will make your travel experience around the area much more convenient! There is no ridesharing available on Vashon Island, although there is a public bus.

Lodging Information & Advice

Airbnb and VRBO both have many amazing properties for rent on Vashon! You certainly have the option of staying in Seattle or Tacoma where there are plenty of such options, however, bear in mind that will have to navigate the ferries going to and from wedding events. There are no chain hotels on Vashon Island. We recommend staying on Vashon and to book as early as possible, as properties book up fast during the summer tourist season. CAUTION: If booking through Airbnb or VRBO, be sure to check the map to ensure that your property is on the island, as sometimes OFF-ISLAND properties show up when searching for "Vashon Island" properties on these sites. Shuttle to Ceremony

Good news! We will be providing a shuttle service to the wedding venue on Saturday, July 24. The schedule is as follows: The Lodges to Froggsong Gardens: -Depart 3:30pm -Depart 4:00pm Froggsong Gardens to The Lodges: -Depart 9:00pm -Depart 10:30pm If you are staying outside of walking distance from The Lodges, we will be able to provide custom drop-off at your lodging AFTER the ceremony only. Please contact us after you have made your lodging arrangements if you would like to take advantage of this! It is okay to leave your car parked at The Lodges or in town overnight - it is a very safe area!
