Jake and Ariana both attended a small, private school in Bellaire, TX. This, you could say, was the beginning of their story. Time passed as both of them went on to different high schools and years later at a concert of a mutual friend, the real story began.

Ariana accidentally planned her own proposal trip, without even knowing it. In March, three months after Jake took her on a trip to see New York City for the first time, she asked if they could go back in June to see the Houston Astros play the Yankees. The trip came together quickly and Jake's mom, Lisa and his sister, Amanda joined them for the getaway. Amanda told everyone on the first day of the trip that before they left to go back home, she wanted to make sure to take some pictures in Central Park of a famous bridge. You know, the one you see in all the movies. On the second night in NYC, before an amazing Italian dinner, Jake got down on one knee in the middle of the bridge in Central park and asked Ariana to marry him. After about five minutes of happy tears, she said yes.
