Festival of Lights
Please note that our wedding coincides with the Festival of Lights that is held on Michigan Avenue every year. Michigan Avenue between Oak Street and Wacker Drive will close at 3 PM. We are suggesting that guests allow for ample time to arrive at the ceremony, and we are providing a one hour buffer between the ceremony and cocktail hour to allow for travel to the Drake. If you plan on driving from the ceremony to the Drake, you will show security a placard specific to our wedding to allow you to valet your vehicle at the Drake. Please follow attached map/directions to avoid road closures. Directions from Lake Shore Drive (North or South) to The Drake Exit Lake Shore Drive at Illinois to Grand ave. West on Grand ave. to McClurg Court. North on McClurg Court to Ohio. East on Ohio to Inner lake Shore Drive. North on Inner Lake Shore Drive to Walton. West on Walton to Drake Hotel. Closed 4:00 pm through 7:30 pm: -Oak Street (State Street to Michigan Avenue) -North Michigan Avenue (Oak Street to Wacker Drive) -Upper Wacker Drive (Michigan Avenue to east turnaround) Closed 5:00 pm through 7:30 pm: -Upper Columbus, Southbound Lanes (Wacker Drive to Randolph Street) Closed 6:00 pm through 7:30 pm: -Upper Columbus, Northbound Lanes (Wacker Drive to Randolph Street) Closed 8:00 am through 6:00 pm: -Clark Street (East curb lane only Oak Street to Delaware Street) -Delaware Street (Dearborn Street to Clark Street north curb lane only) -Oak Street (Clark Street to State Street) -Dearborn Street (Delaware Street to Maple Street) -Walton Street (State Street to Clark Street) Closed 4:30 pm through 10:00 pm: -Upper Columbus (Curb lanes from Wacker Drive to Randolph Street) -Randolph Street (Curb lanes from Michigan Avenue to Columbus Drive)
Shuttle
Shuttle for the Ceremony
November 18, 2023 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm
A shuttle will be running from the Drake Hotel to the church for the ceremony and then back from the church to the Drake Hotel for cocktail hour.
