Main Street sits right on the river and houses the first capital of Missouri. It’s home to original colonial buildings from the late 1700’s, and a Louisiana Purchase Expedition site lead by Lewis and Clark. There are also plenty of great shops and restaurants here, and it is nearby hotels and both venues!
Recently renovated, the Gateway Arch is a Saint Louis Icon. If you’re not afraid of heights the view from the top is incredible! There is also a museum inside that displays the river cities history. Also be sure to check out the glass work, Lauren’s dad put it into the new entry and she’s really proud!
The Delmar Loop is a buzzing entertainment and dining hub with an eclectic mix of noodle bars, BBQ restaurants, Korean and Mexican eateries, cocktail lounges and pubs lining Delmar Boulevard. Well-known locals with stars on the St. Louis Walk of Fame include Maya Angelou and Betty Grable, as well as Chuck Berry, whose statue is nearby. Music venues like the Pageant and Delmar Hall stage rock, roots and indie gigs.
Known for its blues scene, buzzing Soulard has raucous bars with live music alongside casual pizzerias, down-to-earth Southern restaurants and seafood spots serving oysters and crawfish. Soulard also hosts the largest Mardi Gras Parade- second to New Orleans. It is the area to go to in STL for Cajun food
One of the most reknowned breweries in the US (and world). Try here on the weekends or the Side Project Cellar down the street during the week.
