The beautiful city of Tarapoto is very hot and muggy. If you look at the temperature on you weather app it always said around 80 and thunderstorm. It's not always raining but there usually is an afternoon rain around 4-5pm. Humidity is usually around 85% so give up on the straightener and wear your hair natural :)
Lima's winter temperatures can fluctuate from 68-60 degrees. It never really rains but it gets misty sometimes. I know you hear 68 and think shorts and flip flops weather but humidity plays an important role. I recommend bringing fall (jeans, light jacket, etc) clothes. The toilets are normal jaja but DO NOT FLUSH TOILET PAPER OR YOU WILL BE IN THE BATHROOM A LONG TIME TRYING TO MAKE IT FLUSH.
Girls - Spring/summer long pretty dresses. Stay away from dark colors and thick/heavy materials since the heat and the humidity will make you feel uncomfortable as soon as you start dancing. Boys - Khaki/ button up/ shoes are fine no tie or jacket required. *** My family from there will probably show up with stilettos and fancy dresses and suits even tho I told them not to. Don't worry they wont judge your more casual looks jaja, also they are used to the weather, we are not! ***
