Both being from Grand Prairie Texas, we grew up in the same area, and had the same mutual friends. We learned that we went to same places and church as kids. We had experienced part of our adult life already and still we never ran into each other. Little did we know we would finally meet in our 30's, become best friends, fall for each other and end up together. I would always tell Evelyn "Where have you been my whole life?", She would answer me, " I been down the street girl!!". My future wife was down the road from me this whole time and we didnt even know it. I remember the day we hung out for the first time like it was yesterday, Wednesday November 6, 2019. The minutes and hours went by so fast as we sat and talked about life, our goals, and family. We didn't want the night to end so we went somewhere else, then before you knew it, it was 3:30am. We started to hang out a few times a week, which then turned into every day. We were given the opportunity to be best friends first and get to see one another evolve as individuals. We were able to be there for each other through good and hard times. That is what really showed us that we would always be there for each other. Evelyn made it official and asked me to be her girlfriend on February 22, 2022. She picked this day because she knows my favorite number is 2. (2/22/22) That same day she said, "Man I was so nervous to do this because I never done something this special and romantic before". If I could show you how nervous she was, she said " I don't think I could propose". I asked her "would you let me do that"? She said yes. From that moment I started planning it. Fast forward to November 18, 2022, on our trip to Pagosa Springs, Colorado I popped the big question and proposed. I feel so blessed that she was put into my life and That is our Love Story! We are so happy that we get to share this beautiful day with you all.
