Q&A

If you have any other questions other than what is listed below, please reach out to April!
Question

How do I RSVP? By when?

Answer

Please refer to the RVSP tab on our wedding website or the QR code on the invitation. You will be prompted to enter your full name. Anyone else that we have included in your party will also be shown. Please RSVP by April 20th.

Question

Dietary Restrictions?

Answer

Please indicate the specific restriction and/or request you may have in your RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to our venue's space limitations, we simply can not allow for all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. We are asking our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless he/she is specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that our guests dress in cocktail attire. Bridesmaids will be wearing lilac purple, and it is kindly requested that other guests refrain from wearing that color.

Question

When does the wedding ceremony begin?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 1:00pm. We kindly ask that all guests are seated in the church by 12:45pm.

Question

Can I take pictures/videos during the ceremony?

Answer

The greatest gift you can give us today is to be truly present, so please turn off all phones and cameras and enjoy this special moment with us!

Question

How long is the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The wedding is being celebrated as a Catholic sacrament in the form of a mass. Duration will be between 1 hour and 1.5 hours. We kindly ask that any guests who are not Catholic refrain from receiving Holy Communion. Those who wish to receive a blessing may do so.

Question

Is the wedding reception indoors?

Answer

No. Cocktail Hour, Dessert, and Drinks will be served indoors. Dinner and dancing will be outside under a tent. Michigan weather in May is similar to Pittsburgh weather in May :) Please dress accordingly!

Question

Parking for ceremony & reception?

Answer

Yes, both St. Joseph's Church and The McIntyre have ample parking available.

Question

Transportation to & from the hotel?

Answer

Unfortunately, there will not be a shuttle to either hotel. Uber and Lyft are also great options, as the hotel is within a 10 minute drive from the venue.
