On the anniversary of when they first met, Deryk planned an entire evening for them, full of all sorts of surprises. First, they went to the fanciest restaurants in the Tallahassee area. At a rooftop restaurant overseeing the beautiful city lights, they enjoyed intimate conversation while eating the most delectable cuisine they had to offer. Afterward, they continued their lovely evening at a beautiful outdoor theatre, where one of their all-time favorite movies was playing, "Love Jones". As the movie played, they were catered with signature drinks (non-alcoholic of course), chocolate-covered strawberries, and enjoyed romantic games that challenged their remembrance, urging them to think deeper about their passion for one another. When the movie ended, to A'nyah's surprise, a slide show began to play, highlighting their 5-year journey of love. Filled with fondness and deep affection, while "All My Life" by KC and JoJo played in the background, Deryk got on one knee and asked the question he had been longing for since the day they met, "Will you Marry Me?". Without hesitation, A'nyah smiled and answered, "Yes". We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. In addition, our wedding will be on Nyah's birthday so let's get ready to have double the fun. See you in Duval!
