Question

Why Cape Charles?

Answer

We discovered Cape Charles several years ago looking for a halfway to meet up with friends from New York. Since then we have visited a least once a year and knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. The unique Victorian homes and the calm bay beach make this town a hidden gem and we know you will love it too!

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

This is an adults only wedding. We want you to take the night off and celebrate with us!

Question

Do we need a rental car?

Answer

If you are flying into Norfolk Uber/Lyft is available to get you to Cape Charles. However, these services are not available within the town so you would need to find another way to return to the airport. One option is Cape Charles Cabs, Carts and Carriage. To hail a ride call 757-695-0954 or 757-693-2111/ taxi #27023.

Question

Will there be transportation to the wedding venue?

Answer

We have coordinated a shuttle from downtown Cape Charles. Please see the Schedule Tab for details!

Question

What safety precautions have been put in place for a wedding during the pandemic?

Answer

We want everyone to feel comfortable and have a great time at our wedding! The Mimosa Barn is a large property and we plan to spread things out mostly outdoors at the venue. The barn has large doors which we plan to have open during the cocktail hour and reception. Only one wedding is held each weekend and they are deep cleaning during the week between rentals. We will not be doing traditional row seating for the ceremony so everyone can sit in family clusters and space out accordingly. We have a large tent and will be seating everyone with their close friends and family who are coming from the same area. We encourage you to wear a mask when you are not eating or drinking or if you are in close proximity of other guests. There will be a portable toilet trailer with running water/sinks and the venue has added hand sanitizer dispensers around the property. Please take any additional precautions you feel are necessary while at the venue!
