We met when we were just six years old. Annika remembers Nathan’s first day of school at St. Francis, and we both remember being in the same family for our Oregon Trail project in fourth grade. We both remember a middle school crush that culminated in them dating in high school… and then promptly breaking up. Just before their senior year Annika wrote Nathan a ten page essay (without the word “the”) convincing him to take Calculus BC with her. He did, and they began spending more and more time together. Annika asked him to Homecoming, Nathan said yes, and we began dating shortly after. The next few years were a whirlwind - we went to the same school, then moved apart; adopted a cat named Cheese; went on a last-minute Disney trip; Annika learned to cut Nathan’s hair; Nathan always lets Annika’s sister practice painting his nails; and we always kept planning our next adventure together. Nathan proposed in late July of 2021, on an old favorite hike, and we planned a wedding for this summer knowing we wanted to celebrate with our loved ones before moving to a new state for Annika’s graduate program. Through Covid, long-distance, and more, we have never stopped loving one another. We are so excited to celebrate the beginning of thenext chapter of our lives with all of you. Above all, we are grateful for one another and we know we have found “our person”.
