Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?

Answer

Yes! The venue is off of a notoriously dangerous road in Petaluma and is not well-marked. It is our hope that as few people drive to the wedding as possible, even if you are not planning on consuming alcohol at all whatsoever, EVEN if you are local and not staying in a hotel.  To support this, we have hired a shuttle service to pick people up in Sonoma and Petaluma before the ceremony begins and drop them off at the venue, and drop them back off at the end of the night.  Please understand this: the shuttles and their drivers will be onsite for the duration of the event should anyone like to leave before the reception is officially over. In other words, you will not be stuck at our wedding if you take the shuttle and decide you want to go home before 10 PM.  The bride and groom plan to continue the party in downtown Sonoma afterward. For those who want to join, the shuttle will drop us off at the plaza after the reception. The shuttles will arrive at 2:00 PM and leave for the venue at 2:30 PM at the following locations: The Lodge at Sonoma Resort, 1325 Broadway, Sonoma, CA 95476 El Pueblo Inn, 896 West Napa Street, Sonoma, CA 95476 Teeter Field Parking Lot, 216 First St E, Sonoma, CA 95476 **locals/non-hotel guests: please park here!** Sheraton Sonoma Wine Country, 745 Baywood Drive, Petaluma, CA 94954 *shuttle coming from El Pueblo - ETA ~ 3:00, ETD 3:15*

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors and reception will be indoors.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

We have a reserved a block of rooms at The Lodge at Sonoma (https://bit.ly/lodge-book) and have listed other hotel options on the Travel & Accommodations page on our website!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal black tie attire with a western flare. The dress code is not strictly black tie, so don't feel like you are required to go out and rent a tuxedo if you don't want to, but we want people to have the opportunity to wear a tux and fancy dress if they have never had an occasion to do so. If you have them, a nice suit, tie, and cowboy boots are perfect. If you don’t have boots, we won’t love you any less but may think of you differently 😉. For women, long dresses are not required but please dress more formally than if you were going to the club or bar. If it’s not raining, the ceremony will be outside and there is pea gravel and grass, so I recommend a block heel or flats so you don't sink into the ground. All in all, we want this to be on the nicer side of events, but what we care about is having the people we care about there to celebrate with us on our big day! Yeehaw! **Northern California gets cold at night. There will be space heaters and the reception is indoors, but it is always a good idea to bring layers.
