It's a date!

It was fall of 2014, Anneka was just twenty Upon their first meeting, the sparks weren't plenty. As time passed, they became friends and hung out, there was an undeniable chemistry that began to sprout. The feelings kept growing and they caught the others' eye But she was leaving for a year, they thought it was goodbye. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and during that year they both began to ponder about the friendship they had and how it caught fire. They gave it a shot, not knowing what would transpire. After some time, Anneka made the move and they started their life together and found their groove. New jobs, new apartment, and adjusting to life, Matt began to think it was time to make Anneka his wife. He asked her parents if he could take her hand, they both thought that idea was grand. Matt and his mom went to buy the ring, and suddenly Anneka had an inkling. She guessed and wondered, and even asked, Matt didn't let her know what was in the forecast. Then it turned into the new year, and on January first, Matt made it all clear. Back near downtown where the sparks all began, they were out for a walk but Anneka didn't know Matt's plan. He turned and said he had a question to ask her, and she then knew what was about to occur. He asked to marry his love and best friend, a person on whom he could always depend.
