Nick and Anna met in the great city of San Diego. They became fast friends as they bonded over their love of aviation, bourbon, and cheesy movies. Nick taught Anna how to ski, multiple NASA related facts, and how to work on cars. Anna helped educate Nick on Disney facts, the best type of horror films, and the important skill sets of playing odds and how to Ice someone. They quickly became best friends. They both realized how perfectly their goofiness meshed and how wonderfully they balanced each other out.
Anna and Nick journeyed to the Deep South for the renowned Savannah, GA St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Under the guise of having a 30th birthday blowout, Nick secretly made plans with our most amazing group of friends to go to the beautiful Wormsloe State Historic site, where over a mile of live oaks and Spanish moss lined the drive into the plantation. Nick had really committed to March 18th and he built a box for Anna’s ring with the date inlaid on the front. The place was set. The date was firm. All we needed was the delivery. For this, Nick heavily depended that day on the man he hoped would become his future brother-in-law, Aaron. For the love of the game, Aaron and Nick staged some odds and planted a fateful beverage to drive Nick to one knee. Nick asked the question, and Anna said, “No way.” The rest will be our history!
