Stop by the farmers market from 9-1 on Saturday. The whole town shows up for live music and the usual farmers market fare. There are lots of options to eat (we usually go for the breakfast burritos), local crafts, and great farm stands.
The website linked below (click view) gives some great hiking recommendations. We like Mt. Abraham, the Fuller Hill and Warren Village walk, and the Blueberry Lake recreation trails.
A popular watering hole on the Mad River Valley. Bring a bathing suit and slide down the rocks and into the (freezing) water. A very popular spot in the summer. The crowds might be waning by early September, but going early in the day is usually your best bet.
Rent trail or e-bikes at the Farmhouse Bike Shop at Lincoln Peak (right at the Clay Brook hotel). There are mountain biking trails on the mountain (ask for a map) and at Blueberry Lake. E-biking around is a great way to get acquainted with the Valley.
Go to the movies! Perfect for a rainy day.
Great beer and light fare with a nice outdoor seating area. Enjoy a Sip of Sunshine in the sunshine!
We love this place!! Get the fried chicken sandwiches (the Cluckster is our go-to) and creemees (Vermont's soft serve). It is the best ice cream Zach has ever had.
A great country general store with excellent sandwiches and snacks. Grab something to go and eat on the deck by the Mad River. The Number 6 is a classic.
The spot to get any Vermont food. A wide selection of cheeses, beers, chocolates, etc.
