As we all know, COVID-19 has made an unprecedented impact on not only our world but also on each of us personally. After much thought and prayer, we have decided to proceed with our original wedding date—September 19, 2020! That being said, we want to ensure that our guests are aware of what our day entails so that they can make an informed decision on whether to attend. We have been actively monitoring the (ever-changing) requirements and recommendations provided by both the CDC and the State of Texas. We have also met with our venue owners and wedding planner to discuss our concerns. As a result, we have determined that the following will allow us to safely move forward as planned: • The Venue at Waterstone has a maximum capacity of 1,000. We are inviting less than 200 people and, given the current circumstances, we do not expect full attendance. • The wedding ceremony will be outside. If we need to move the ceremony inside due to bad weather, it will be in a large barn in which we can spread out seating as much as necessary. The reception will be inside the barn, but doors/walls will remain open. • We are providing plated meals, so your food will just be yours! • We will provide individually wrapped masks. We also encourage you to bring your own. While we are not requiring masks, we would rather you feel safe than worry about our pictures 😊 • We will provide hand sanitizer at several sanitizing stations throughout the venue. • We will provide wedding-themed pens for you to keep after signing the guest book. We hope that this update eases uncertainty and gives our guests what they need to decide whether to attend. We recognize that we each have a different level of comfort, and we empathize with the anxiety that many of our guests have experienced during this time. We will continue to pray for protection over our loved ones, and we trust that our wedding day will be exactly how it is meant to be. We hope to see you soon! Love, Anna & Ethan
