Adventure Water Park
Unwind at the resort's Adventure Water Park, which features the Kierland FlowRider flowboard simulator for surfing in the desert. Float down the lazy river, take a ride down a 110-foot waterslide or lounge alongside the Aguamiel pool, open for adults only. Families can enjoy plenty of space to relax in one-of-a-kind lounge areas and cabanas like Tommy Bahama Relaxation Reef, a private "island" within their lazy river. Towels Provided! The Westin Kierland Golf Club
Play golf on the Acacia, Ironwood, and Mesquite courses, featuring multiple tees, generous fairways and greens. The hotel's golf resort has beautiful scenery complemented by fun extras, like Segways, golf bikes, golfboards and TurfRiders. Our favorite place to catch a sunset. Easy to moderate hike, small incline. Also home to "Hole in the Rock."

This is where the party people go. Check out the cute shops, pop into a club and take a golf cart to dinner. Fashion Square Mall is close to here.
Oak on Camelback
One of our favorite restaurants for dinner. Try their Kung Pow Brussels.
Desert Botanical Garden
We love to come here, especially when there are special events!
Camelback Mountain
Most difficult hike in Phoenix. There are two sides you can hike up, Echo and Cholla, so remember where you park your car!

Sonoran Preserve -Desert Vista Trailhead
There are a few easy walking trails that are a little bit north of Phoenix and a great way to see some of the beautiful desert while staying close to the city.
Tempe Town Lake
This is a place where people rent boats, kayak, fish and paddleboard. Swimming is not permitted. Also a place to walk, ride bikes or scooter. Close to ASU campus and Mill Avenue where there are shops, restaurants and bars.
Grand Canyon National Park
It is a great time of year to check this national park off of your bucket list.
