Answer

Due to strict guest restrictions, if you haven't received a +1 on your invitation kindly attend solo.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

As much as we love your kids, we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding.

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience. However we are requesting funds for our honeymoon that can be gifted through "Registry" at the top of this page.

How much will a trip cost?

Answer

Trip cost will vary depending on flight and hotel chosen. Flights range from $400-$1000. Hotels range from $70-$350 per night. It varies on how much you are comfortable with spending! Flights are not yet available for our wedding dates, however, stay updated on our site for more details soon!

What if I can't afford it?

Answer

Don't stress. We understand not everyone will be able to make the trip!

How do we arrive to the wedding venue?

Answer

The venue is only accessible through boat. Boat pick-up will be coordinated.

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

Be sure to dress for the weather of the month of May in Lake Como; Typically it is mid to high 60's to 70 degrees. Being on the water, the sun and breeze will be comfortable during the day, and colder at night so dress accordingly. For the women, a dress with a shawl to put on if it as gets chilly, long sleeve dress or a jumpsuit. For the men, a jacket or long sleeve collared shirt with dress pants is perfect. If you’re unsure what to wear, be sure to ask us for suggestions. ​

What if I run into problems?

Answer

The best thing to do if you run into room or flight issues is to reach out to our wedding planners! They are available by phone or email.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors in the loggia terrace at the Villa but it is covered. The cocktail hour will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors with outdoor access and plenty of open doors/windows. It is best to dress accordingly as it may get chilly. See "What should I wear" above.

What will your wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

Below is a rough idea of the scheduling and it may be modified as we go deeper into the details of wedding planning (for example the timing may change depending on speeches, courses served for the dinner, etc..) - 4.00pm: arrival of guests at Villa del Balbianello - 4.30pm: wedding ceremony - 5.15pm: aperitif; - 7.00pm: dinner; - 9.00pm: cake cutting; - 9.30pm: dancing party; - 11.30pm: end of dancing party; - 00.00am: boat transfers from Villa del Balbianello

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

As much as we love social media content, we are opting for an unplugged wedding. We have hired a full time wedding content creator that will take plenty of photos and videos, aside from the videographer & photographer, on our wedding day.

What colors should we wear?

Answer

We will have dress code and color guidance on the formal invitation however, ladies should please avoid wearing white, black, sage green, red and neutrals. Being Spring in Lake Como, its your time to wear that colorful and fun outfit you've had sitting in your closet! Blues, greens, pinks, yellows, oranges. The flowers are in full bloom and these colors will compliment the landscape beautifully :)

Will there be events after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will have the honor of hosting you for a post-wedding brunch. More details to come & will be included in your wedding invite.
