Wedding Updates

Update: 3/23/2020

Dear friends and family, As you all know, the situation with COVID-19 is still unfolding. As such, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding. We are looking forward to this passing and wishing you all health and safety. We cannot wait to celebrate with you on July 10th! Love, Angela & Michael

How we met

August 3, 2016

Angela and Michael met on the popular dating site, eHarmony. After the grueling back and forth of "ice breakers" and "must haves" questions, Michael cut to the chase and asked to meet Angela for a drink. They decided to meet at the new Italian restaurant, Luca, in Lancaster, PA. Michael was sitting at the bar when Angela walked in. Michael will never forget the dress Angela wore the night he saw her for the first time and that she reached across the bar, picked a questionable green leaf out of the glass in front of her, and took a bite to see what it was. Angela will never forget Michael's smile and that they talked about religion and politics and things went well. Michael went home and told a friend it was the best first date he ever had. Angela went home and told her best friend that she met the man she was going to marry.

The Proposal

January 13, 2019

Angela and Michael booked a Caribbean cruise to relax after a long and busy holiday season. Angela thought they were just going on a vacation. Little did she know that Micheal was planning a proposal. Micheal carried the ring with him to every stop the cruise ship made, waiting for the right moment to ask Angela to be his wife. Micheal brought the ring out on the jet skis in Haiti. He stowed the ring in his pocket while they sipped Pina Coladas in Puerto Rico. Micheal hid the ring in the bottom of his backpack when they went horse back riding in St.Maarteen. The very last stop on the cruise was to St.Kitts and Nevis. Micheal rented a car and took Angela on a scenic drive just the two of them. One of the many stops was a historic garden called Romney Manor. As they walked the gardens they came upon a 400 year old tree called the Saman tree. Property care takers told Michael and Angela that the Saman tree had weathered many storms. It had been through wars and hurricanes but it continued to stand tall. Under the 400 year old Saman tree, Michael dropped down on one knee and proposed to Angela. Angela said yes.
