Jake and I met the first day of freshman orientation at Benedictine College in 2018. We quickly became friends but nothing more. Fast forward to a year later and we were both newly single. Jake decided to ask me out on a date and at the time I was saying a novena to Saint Valentine that my dad sent me. I took this as a sign from God that I should probably go on the date. So I said yes and he took me to a movie and to Chili's for dinner...classic Jake. He then asked me to be his girlfriend a week later, I said yes and the rest is history!
Jake proposed at the Scout statue in Kansas City. It overlooks the whole city with a beautiful view. We went to Mass in the morning and he told me we had a brunch reservation at Union Station after Mass. We left Mass and we were headed to brunch but he said that we were early so we could stop by the Scout statue for a few minutes to see the view. My amazing sister TT was there in disguise dressed as a homeless person in order to take pictures...thats dedication right there. The whole proposal was so sweet and perfect. After the actual proposal we headed to Jake parents house where all of our friends and family were to celebrate! It was truly the most special day and I am so grateful! Now let's get married!!!
