As funny as it may sound, meeting people in this day and age has changed. He posted a snapchat to his story. I slid up, and the rest was history. We spent the next month hanging out, talking, driving around. Hunter asked me to be his girlfriend two months before we actually started dating. I had to talk it over with Savannah (MOH) first, of course. She immediately approved and so then Hunter and I started dating. - Angela
I was 19, Angela was 18, and she had her first apartment. It started out as me telling my mom I would just stay a couple nights a week so Angela was not alone all the time. That turned in to a small section of her closet filled with my clothes, then to my own dresser drawers, and then to my room at home being given to Hagan (my younger brother). That apartment was a big part of us. It was the first time in our lives that we had no rules. As the only two in our friend group with a place of our own, guess where all the parties were? Of course, our apartment. This phase did not last very long becuase after a while, we decided that dorm just was not working for the two of us. We moved in to our first home in July 2020. This is where we realized what adulting was all about. We bought our home in May of 2021, almost a full year after moving in. -Hunter
It was December 26th, 2020. Our closest friends were over for our annual "Friendsmas" party. I decided to take a pregnancy test before all the real festivities began, "just to be sure." You can imagine the shock when the test almost immediately showed those pink lines. I was not convinced so I went to Walgreens, bought two more, sure enough I was pregnant! We told our parents the very next day. The next few days, I was awaiting the first ultrasound. When I heard what sounded like bending sheet metal, I realized I was listening to my babygirl's heartbeat for the first time. I knew then that the life I knew before had changed completely. My pregnancy continued, we found out she was a girl, then we had the baby shower, then before we could even blink, it was August 17th and we were on our way to have our babygirl. Hunter was the best supporter during labor. He tried his best to help in every possible way. After over 10 hours of labor, she was here. Our babygirl, the tiniest human that made the biggest impact. After she got here, I saw a part of Hunter that I never had before. He was more gentle, affectionate, loving- he was a dad. He wore it well. When I seen him with our babygirl, I knew that I was the luckiest woman in the world to be by his side for the rest of our lives. -Angela
After about a year and a half after we moved in together, before we found out about our babygirl, I realized our relationship was much more than a couple of kids "dating." We had been living together for a while, we learned how to work well together, we overcame every obstacle either of us faced as one, we learned what it meant to love each other unconditionally. One night, I was laying in bed and realized that Angela was the woman I was going to marry. This was a woman that had the type of commitment and loyalty I hadn't really seen before. After she gave birth to LaRae, I saw her caretaker personality shine and I knew I was proposing soon. Once I was able to, I talked to my mom and asked her some advice, and together we found the perfect ring. I knew we were going on a family vacation over Christmas, and decided that was the perfect opportunity. During the trip, Angela and I were both stressed. We enjoyed having family time, but with it being the first trip that we took LaRae on, we were both on edge the whole time. I waited until the last second to propose. We were walking to check out, and I asked if we could walk through the conservatory of our resort, until I found the perfect spot. Angela and I took a photo in front of a water fountain and then I dropped to my knee. With my grandma, Angela, my mom, and myself tearing up, she said yes. Which has brought us here. -Hunter
