Health and Safety

The Wedding Website of Andy Beckerman and Naomi Ekperigin
Look, if you know us, you know that we've been EXTREMELY cautious about the Coco over the last three years. IN FACT, when we took a very small risk, what happened? Andy got the 'Rona, that's what! Since weddings have become superspreader events in the New Age, we want this to be as safe as possible. That means most of the wedding will take place outdoors. The cocktail hour will be in an indoor/outdoor space, and dancing will be indoors, but we'll be lining the area with HEPA 13 air filters and masking is strongly encouraged. That's right, friends, we do NOT want you walking away from our relationship's bar mitzvah with love in your hearts as well as the novel coronavirus also in your hearts. And lungs. And... what's that, Naomi? Stop listing organs the virus attacks? This all being said, we're asking that you only come to the wedding if you are FULLY vaccinated. If you have questions, we'll provide more details in the coming weeks.

Send us a pic of yer vax card!

Please take a pic of your vax card and e-mail it to our wonderful wedding planner Emily at hello@heartthrobweddings.com - thanks!

Andy's Bonafide Travel Tips!

(Staying sane while on the plane!)

Look, I ain't gotta lecture you about the transmissibility of XBB or about protecting vulnerable folks or anything. You know the drill by now, but here are some procedures we've worked out that will keep you - and those you encounter - as safe as possible. 1) When in the airport and on the plane, wear a fit-tested N95 (I like the 3M Aura 9205+ ones myself) or even a P100 mask, and don't take it off. 2) When I go indoors these days, I have a portable air purifier with a HEPA filter that creates about a 3ft bubble of clean air around it. Highly recommended for air travel! 3) Another handy instrument is an air quality monitor, which will tell you how stagnant the air is and where the best indoor air flow is. 4) If you're unsure how dicey a situation is, I love this website: https://www.microcovid.org/. You put in a couple variables and it uses publically available data to estimate the risk.
