Nancy and Andy's story began in the midst of the pandemic through the traditional means of online dating. Despite the challenges that COVID presented, they took a chance on each other and decided to have their first date in the serene hills of Yorba Linda. Their meeting was nothing short of magical as Andy presented Nancy with a beautifully crafted Gin box that he designed and made himself using his sharp engineering skills. Nancy was touched by his thoughtfulness and his ability to create something so unique and personal for her. As the night wore on, they found themselves lost in conversation, talking about their immigrant families and their shared love for traveling. Both were pleasantly surprised at how quickly and deeply they had connected with each other. Nancy knew she only wanted to date Andy when he took a fire safety course before their third date at the bonfire pits of Huntington Beach. It was then that she realized how much Andy cared for her and was willing to do anything to ensure her safety and happiness. Andy was captivated by Nancy's infectious laughter and her effortless warmth. He was touched by how she always managed to infuse warmth into every situation, especially when hosting family events that helped him connect more deeply with his Vietnamese heritage. He was in awe of her drive to constantly challenge herself and her willingness to reflect on her relationships with those around her. Together, Nancy and Andy embarked on a multitude of adventures, seeking out new experiences and making unforgettable memories along the way. They hiked the snowy trails of Cucamonga Peak and traveled across the country to explore Nancy's medical school town in Philadelphia and New York City. They took a road trip up the west coast from California to Washington, marveling at the stunning landscapes along the way. Their wanderlust never waned, and they soon found themselves meeting up in Aspen, where they drove through the natural beauty of Utah and Moab. As they grew more confident in their rhythm as travel companions, they set their sights on international destinations. They journeyed to Portugal, Morocco, and Paris, taking in the culture, the food, and the breathtaking sights. Through all their adventures, they supported each other through the ups and downs of life, and they knew that they were meant to be together.
