We met at Fuller Seminary in late September 2019 and it was very nearly love at first sight:) Andrew looked lost and confused while wandering around orientation, and Kaylee invited him to join her for lunch. Andrew invited Kaylee and her roommates over for a cookout with his friends to welcome them to LA. While snooping around his room, Kaylee stumbled upon Andrew's "30 before 30" bucket list that he made on his 20th birthday. Seeing how adventurous and fun Andrew was, Kaylee excitedly offered to help accomplish some of Andrew's goals. On that list was "Start a family," and Andrew jokingly suggested she could help him there. We laughed it off at the time, but at that moment, both of us thought that that idea wasn't too bad. Little did we know that we were going to be married less than a year later, 31 days before Andrew's 30th birthday! When Kaylee moved to Pasadena she was adamant that she wanted to be single during the program and that she DEFINITELY did not want to date a classmate. God had other plans, and we quickly found ourselves looking for every excuse to talk to each other and spend time together. When we found ourselves talking for hours about our lives, families, and passions during a romantic Venice Beach sunset...we finally admitted to ourselves that there was more going on than a study-partner friendship. After Andrew biked to San Diego with his buddies (previously planned), spent the weekend at the Loomis home, and got to know her parents, we finally went on our first "real" date! Our relationship has been a whirlwind of adventure, community, long nights of classes, quarantining, road trips, laughter, and endless outdoor activities. It didn't take long for us to know that we couldn't imagine spending our lives with anyone else. We are so excited to begin our lifelong adventure together, and we are so thankful for our friends and families who have been with us all along the way. We cannot WAIT to celebrate with our very favorite people:)
