Things To Do

Here are a few of our favorite places around town! Some would be great for a a little coffee break between the Wedding Liturgy and the Reception, breakfast/brunch before the Liturgy, or Just a great place to eat over the weekend! As y'all know, Andrew and I did not meet and date here in Lafayette, so there is a little less sentiment to each of these locations. Nonetheless, these are some of our favorite spots that we have been enjoyed together during the time we do spend here in Lafayette!

Rêve Coffee Roasters

Reve is a staple coffee shop in downtown Lafayette! Its the perfect place to grab a great latte and take a stroll to explore the downtown area, or you can just relax inside where the vibes are wonderful! And it's only 7 minutes from St. Leo the Great!

Coffeeweed Cottage

410 Poydras Street, Lafayette, LA 70501

I (Rani!) ADORE Coffeeweed Cottage! This place is for my plant lovers (and coffee lovers of course). Coffeeweed combines a coffee shop, plant shop, and boutique all in one. The atmosphere there is just so fun! They serve some breakfast and lunch options as well! This hidden gem is located not far from downtown Lafayette and less than 10 minutes from St. Leo the Great.

Billy's Boudin & Cracklins (Locations in Carencro and Scott)

1815 Saint Mary Street, Scott, LA 70583

I (Andrew) love the boudin links, fried boudin balls, and fried cracklins from here. If you aren't familiar with Cajun food, these are some staples to try. (Andrew is obsessed with this place, and honestly it's so yummy. Pepper jack stuffed boudin balls are my FAVORITE -Rani)

Meche's Donuts

We (Rani and Andrew) love this donut place! We will both argue that this place has the best donuts ever. They make them hot and fresh in the morning if you were looking for a quick breakfast snack or midday snack. There are multiple locations throughout Lafayette!

Borden's Ice Cream Shoppe

1103 Jefferson Street, Lafayette, LA 70501

This is the only remaining Borden's ice cream shop in the world, so be sure to step in for a yummy treat! Especially in the Louisiana heat!
