On a snowy Tuesday night, our chits and our chats on the Hinge dating app led to a romantic dinner at MaGerk's Pub. Andrew's first words were "do you want to sit at the bar?" His second words were "I'm bloated." We agreed to sit at the bar. It was the first of many agreements.
Andrew picked Lauren up wearing his knockoff Ray-Ban Clubmaster sunglasses. We had breakfast at Turning Point and then went hiking at High Rocks. Breakfast and hiking has become one of our favorite dates.
Our leases were set to expire one month apart in the summer of 2019. Lauren was hoping Andrew would ask her to move in with him. When he did, she freaked out. She packed up her cat and they moved into a two bedroom apartment three floors above Andrew's old apartment. After moving in, Lauren could hardly turn her head from all of the stress and anxiety. We eventually settled in and came to enjoy the Town Center, the fire pit and bike rides on the Chester Valley Trail.
Andrew took Lauren down to St Pete beach on Memorial Day weekend. Even though they were starving, he made Lauren wait an hour to get a picture with the sunset on the beach. Right before the sunset, Andrew picked a spot in the sand and we could hear the beautiful waves and a couple arguing a hundred feet away. He set up his tripod, set it on video and pretended to be taking their photo. He got down on one knee and popped the question. Afterwards, he asked Lauren if she was surprised. She said no because she had inadvertently seen his computer screen with an Amazon order for two engagement t-shirts a few weeks prior. We celebrated with a romantic dinner in the Wawa parking lot.
