If you are traveling as a big group, or would like to experience Key West like a local then we would also recommend renting a home! You can find some killer stays with no nightly minimum on airbnb. We would recommend looking for a place in Old Town, Downtown, Bahama Village, Historic seaport, or Truman Annex. These locations are all walkable and minutes away from Duval Street. You also can look at New Town, Beachside or Stock Island but you'll find you will need to get Ubers or rent a car to get around.

Driving to Key West

Driving to the southernmost point does take a bit of time. If you've ever been to the keys you know its basically a 2 lane road the whole way down. If you are flying into Miami or Fort Lauderdale you'll need to rent a car to make it down to Key West. Expect this drive to take about 4 hours.

Golf Cart Rentals

One of the modes of transportation in Key West is often a moped or golf cart! You will see many different companies just walking the streets of Duval. But if you want to ensure you have a golf cart during your entire stay, below is a link! Please note that with a golf cart you will have to find parking in a normal parking spot when on or near Duval Street.
