don’t forget your wigs!!

Carley and Andrew met their first day working at CEB (now Gartner!) on July 11th, 2016. They were fresh out of college and excited to be back in the DC area where they both grew up and have family. What started out as a platonic relationship soon grew to be a romantic one, but not without its hurdles. Six months after they met, Andrew asked Carley out (for the first time), to which she enthusiastically agreed. That is, until the time of the date arrived. Deciding she wasn't ready to take the relationship to the next level, Carley slotted Andrew into the "friend zone." Luckily, like any good business development representative, Andrew realized that if he played his cards right, this "no" could be a "no for now," not necessarily a "no forever." Professional persistence paid off and ultimately, in the spring of 2017, Andrew and Carley had their first date at El Rey, a taco and tequila bar in DC. Fast forward a few years, and their adopted rescue pup Rey is named after that spot! Between then and now, they've enjoyed 4+ years of traveling, fun with friends, and cooking together. And yes, they are still coworkers. Andrew and Carley got engaged on Nantucket in September, 2021.
