We met serendipitously in 2018 through our shared love for golf. Over the years, we built a very platonic but strong friendship over many rounds of golf and nights out. Emily would even serve as Dylan's wingman at bars (thankfully, this never really worked). During the quarantine, we grew even closer. With her usual laundromat shut down, Emily hauled a backpack of dirty clothes to Dylan’s apartment every weekend. We developed a weekly routine that included laundry, exercise, movies (mostly Star Wars) and cocktails on the roof. Our trust in one another became so strong that Emily convinced Dylan to let her give him a buzz cut - she left a bald spot. In the fall of 2020, we agreed to move in together with our mutual friend, Cole. The three of us lived happily ever after for approximately one month until the two of us realized that we could be more than just friends. Navigating this newfound romantic relationship while roommates proved difficult, and there were many ups and downs as we (Dylan) wrestled with the fear of ruining a great friendship for something that may not work out. Thankfully, both of us (Dylan) eventually realized that what we had was special and was worth pursuing. Fast forward a few years, and we couldn't be happier. We still golf, exercise, watch movies (mostly Star Wars), and drink on our roof, but we’ve also shared so many more life experiences. We’ve been to more than a dozen cities across five countries. We’ve seen countless Broadway shows, movies and concerts. We’ve argued over whose turn it is to do the laundry (it’s Emily’s). The past three years have been the happiest of our lives, and we are so excited to start the rest of our lives together in front of our closest friends and family. We cannot wait to see you there!
