Medical researchers brought us together. While Xavier's sister-in-law Misha and Andrea's friends Shara and Angela SHOULD have been focusing on a cure for cancer, instead they were playing matchmaker. While Shara and Angela posted about Andrea on a medical discussions only site, Misha was with Xavier and family in Mallorca, Spain proposing a blind date to Xavier, which he accepted. A few days later, on July 20, 2022, they met at Del Mar de Fabio Trabocchi. And it just clicked. After many hours of talking and laughing, it dawned on us both, that this could be something. We've been inseparable and together every day since. After a few status updates from Misha and Shara, updating all of the newly interested doctors across the nation watching our love story unfold, the medical website was inevitably shutdown. Love was the distraction.

On the day of love, Valentine's Day, we went to a nice dinner at the Dabney, where Andrea noticed Xavier was barely eating, to which Xavier noted that he was "stressed because of work." Following dinner, we went back to his house where we've spent many of our first summer nights at the pool and around the fire pit. To Andrea's surprise, Xavier masterfully ignited a roaring and majestic bonfire under a full moon. Andrea knew then something was up because Xavier is always careful and safety oriented first and foremost. Xavier quickly pulled out the ring, almost blinding Andrea, which in turn caused him to fumble it and almost drop said ring into their roaring fire of passion, then he proposed. Andrea was elated, and we celebrated with Cava around the fire while texting and calling family and friends. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in DC!
