Our first date started at Bird Creek golf course, where we played nine holes together. It ended with Dennis beating Andrea, by a lot (no surprise). As a consolation prize, Dennis bought Andrea ice cream afterwards. They decided to take their ice cream to the boardwalk, where Andrea proceeded to get ice cream all over Dennis (with the help from the wind). Fortunately this was not a deal breaker for Dennis, but to this day, Andrea is constantly reminded of it, everytime they get ice cream together.

On August 11th, Dennis and Andrea went out to a nice dinner with friends. After dinner, they went to the Loons baseball game, where unfortunately it got rained out. After the rain was done, they took a walk around downtown Midland. During the walk, Dennis kept the ring box in his front pocket, which was visible to everyone (including Andrea). When they got to the Tridge, Dennis got down on one knee and proposed.
