Andrea here, narrating this one…😎 Adam and I were lucky enough to both be living in Loch Raven Village in the summer of 2015. I was finishing my small and large animal acupuncture certification and Adam was enjoying a summer of leisure (tough gig, professor 😂), when we bumped into each other on a hot morning walk. I was startled by his blindingly beautiful smile and how tidy he was so early in the morning, and god bless him, he must have been taken by my short shorts and messy hair because he asked me for my number and suggested we grab a bite and some drinks. To my delight; he texted me. Not too quickly after asking, but not too long either. We made plans to go on a date, I ran late at the office (this has continued to be a common theme and I’m so lucky he’s so understanding about my sense of time), the weather didn’t cooperate so I went out on a limb and invited him to my house, which wasn’t guest-ready, where we sat on my porch and watched a storm as we drank Pete Scotch and ate a watermelon a friend of mine had grown…and the rest truly is history. We continued to walk those alleyways with our beloved dogs, Carson and Gatsby since passed, until we moved last summer shortly after Adam proposed to me. We now live happily in a little cabin nestled in the woods with our dogs Violet and Disco, and 2 cats Zeke and Huckleberry (Huck, for short), and Kip the best little horse in the world, just down the road. I can’t wait to keep walking old roads, new roads, unpaved roads…whatever the roads , I look forward to walking them with him 💜
