How much is this going to cost me?

Considering Andrea's work schedule and the fact that the summer months are hurricane season, we opted to hold our wedding in February. Coincidentally, February marks the peak season to visit Cancún. Depending on various factors, flights from New York range between $350 and $600 per person. Flights from Seattle range between $500 and $1,000. The most budget-friendly accommodation option at Finest Playa Mujeres for a 3-night stay would be approximately $1,500. The overall expense of your stay covers meals, beverages, activities, ground transportation, and more. If you have an Alaska Airlines credit card, you can use the $99 companion fare to purchase a second ticket. Alternatively, Capital One offers 75k miles if you spend $4,000 in the first three months. 75,000 can cover two round-trip flights with some airlines!

Which room do I pick?

Answer

Please book your room directly through the Finest website. You will see there are "Finest" and "Finest Club" suites. "Club" suites offer access to additional lounges, restaurants, and a private beach area. The same offer applies for “Excellence” versus “Excellence Club” suites. Keep in mind that any “Excellence” suite is adult-only. Regarding your room, there is no wrong choice. Sometimes it can be helpful to look at the resort map. Additionally, there are plenty of YouTube videos showcasing each room type for you to explore before making your reservation.

When should I book my room and flight?

February is peak season to visit Cancún, so please book your room as soon as possible. By using our discount code (SWWFEB25FPM) no deposit is required, your booking is refundable, and the total payment is due 30 days before 02/21/2025. We recommend booking your flight at least 2 - 3 months in advance, especially if your city has limited flights to/from CUN.

We respectfully advise our wedding is an adult occasion; however, infants under 12 months are welcome.

What should I wear?

Do I need a passport?

Yes! Please consider the wait time. New and renewal passport applicants should factor in 10 to 13 weeks for routine service.

Will airport transportation be included?

Answer

Round-trip airport transportation is included if you book at suite for a minimum 3-night stay at Finest Playa Mujeres. Please see the Flights & Stay page for more information.

What happens if I don't stay at Finest Playa Mujeres?

Answer

To be transparent, we need at least 90% of our guests to stay at Finest Playa Mujeres to have our wedding there. If you choose to stay elsewhere, you must pay $100 for a 5-hour event pass to visit the resort on our wedding day.

Do I need to convert USD to the Mexican Peso?

If you're staying at an all-inclusive resort, you won't need to spend any money on food, drinks, or activities, but it 's always a good idea to bring along some cash. Cancún also accepts the US dollar almost anywhere you go. If you have a credit card with no foreign transaction fees, you can use that, too! The most accepted credit cards are VISA and MasterCard.
