From the bleak pits of online dating came true love! Shanna got curious about what kind of prospects were out there at her age, not expecting much, and signed up for the Bumble app. It didn't take her long to match up with Nick, and intrigue was immediately sparked. After a week of messaging on the app they decided to exchange numbers, and a few weeks after that a date was arranged. They met up at Keg and Case in St. Paul for some pinball and arcade games. Both were nervous, both thought the other was way cuter in-person, but after a couple beers and lots of conversation those nerves went by the wayside. "I'm very interested" started turning into "oh, this might be perfect". Nick was even a good sport when Shanna decimated him at Darkstalkers. The date eventually transitioned to going to dinner at a nearby spot, and in the middle of dinner Nick asked "would you like to go on another date?" Shanna immediately replied "absolutely!" From then on they've had numerous adventures, cooked many meals together (our homemade Pho was phenomenal), and transitioned to cohabitation with their fluff-beasts. One night in January, after not subtle hints at all, Shanna decided to go against convention and pop "The Question". She had set up an elaborate proposal in a game they play together, and at the end of the gauntlet was a giant board with "Marry Me?" on it. She turned to him with a ring in-hand (cause why should only the ladies get some bling when they're engaged?). He said "yes!" I mean, yeah, otherwise this whole wedding thing wouldn't be happening. Now, the next stage of their adventure begins!
