In 2010, there was a YouTube Challange to complete a "day in a life" video app around the world. Friends of ours set up a day at Eliches amusement park in Denver to spend the day and record the video. There were so many people, we all divided into smaller groups. Andrew and Anastasia were put in the same group, and what began as strangers at the beginning of the day ended in the exchange of phone numbers and the beginning of a very complicated forever story. Andrew and Anastasia got to know each other best at the end of the day, sitting across from one another at Casa Bontina (yep the South Park episode restaurant haha!) where they talked (and flirted..) all evening.

Andrew told Anastasia he was taking her out for a weekend getaway away from the kids. He would not tell her the plans or where they were going at all. Anastasia made him promise that she could bring her pillow and that they were not camping haha! Andrew planned all the details- the amazing Glen Eyrie castle stay, the food, grandparents coming to stay with the children. He even checked the weather and saw it would rain, and brought umbrellas. Shortly after they checked into the castle, Andrew asked Anastasia to go on a small hike. They began their walk, and Andrew found the perfect spot overlooking the city.. just as it began to rain. Anastasia in pure clueless fashion started complaining about the rain and asking why they were just standing there and next thing she knew, Andrew dropped to one knee and she realized what was happening! He proposed in the cutest box with their couple verse on it, and they hiked back together in the rain.
