Spanish: Atados por el destino, nuestra relación tomó más de 8 años en formalizarse. Crecimos en Puerto Rico, nos conocimos en Chicago y años después nos enamoramos en Nueva York. Definitivamente, hay mucho de que hablar. Esta es una historia de amor sobre como 2 jóvenes profesionales se conocieron, reencontraron y enamoraron para nunca más separarse. Nuestra historia comenzó un 27 de noviembre de 2014, durante un día gris y frío bajo los vientos de Chicago mientras patinábamos sobre hielo en Millenium Park. Claramente, ninguno de los dos pensábamos que la vida tenía un plan para nosotros. Después de un par de citas ciegas y unas pocas conversaciones a través de los años, el destino nos condujo a reconectar en Puerto Rico. ¡Y qué mejor manera para reconectar que dando un paseo por los cielos, observando las bellas playas de nuestra isla! Definitivamente, “no” la quería impresionar. Con solo meses de relación, ya estábamos claros de que teníamos algo grande. Sentíamos que venía un cambio en nuestras vidas para bien. Tocaron largos meses a distancia, pero siempre encontrábamos la manera de vernos al menos una vez al mes. Pocos meses después, logramos formalizar un plan para poder estar juntos y desde entonces creamos una combinación inseparable. De Chicago a PR y de PR a NY, nuestra nueva casa, donde el día de hoy compartimos y vivimos cada uno de nuestros días. Esta es una historia donde dos familias se unen bajo un lindo matrimonio inspirado por el amor. English: Bound by destiny, our relationship took over 8 years to formalize. We grew up in Puerto Rico, met in Chicago, and years later fell in love in New York. Indeed, there is much to talk about. This is a love story about how two young professionals met, reconnected, and fell in love to never part again. Our story began on November 27, 2014, beneath Chicago’s gray sky and biting winds as we skated together at Millennium Park. Clearly, neither of us thought life had a plan for us. After a few blind dates and scattered conversations over the years, fate led us to reconnect in Puerto Rico; and what better way to reconnect than by flying through the coasts of PR, admiring the beautiful beaches of our island! I definitely wasn’t trying to impress her… With just a few months into our relationship, we were already sure that we had something big. We felt that a positive change was coming in our lives. There were long months of distance, but we always found a way to see each other at least once a month. A few months later, we managed to formalize a plan to be together, and since then, we have created an inseparable combination. From Chicago to Puerto Rico and from Puerto Rico to New York, our new home, where today we share and live each of our days. This is a story where two families come together under a beautiful marriage inspired by love.
