Ann Arbor, home to the University of Michigan (Scott's alma mater), is a short drive away and a great college town, with many great restaurants. Check out Zingerman's and Pizza House, or take a stroll through Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum. (NOTE: Saturday, August 31st is a game day in Ann Arbor)

Drive to Detroit

There are many things to do, eat, and see in nearby Detroit, including walking the riverwalk, eating coney dogs at Lafayette and American, and visiting the Detroit Institute of Arts (https://dia.org/), the Motown Museum (https://www.motownmuseum.org/), the Michigan Central Station (https://michigancentral.com/), and the Heidelberg Project (https://www.heidelberg.org/).
