The Reynolda Historic District was part of the country estate developed from 1912-1917 by the Reynolds family. Today, the district serves as an educational, cultural, and community complex for the Winston-Salem community, which is in keeping with the Reynolds’ original plan. Buildings that once served as dairy barns, cattle sheds or blacksmith shops now house stores, restaurants, and offices. Reynolda offers a great place for a morning walk followed by a coffee and doughnut at Dough-Jo's, a delicious lunch on the patio at Village Tavern, or an afternoon of shopping at Monkee's & All Throughout The House. When visiting Reynolda Village, also make sure to venture across the street to Graylyn Estate, a historic landmark and boutique hotel with beautiful grounds for exploring
Thruway shopping center is right down the street from downtown and has everything that you need. A great place to shop around at local boutiques or some of your favorite stores - Southern Home & Kitchen, Hive, Sephora, Lululemon, Great Outdoor Provision Co., J. Crew, and more. You can get your nails done at Twin City Nail Lounge, grab any necessities from Trader Joe's or Harris Teeter, grab a smoothie from The Juice Shop, or get a bite to eat at The Loop, The Carving Board, or CHOPT.
