We're Getting Married!

After graduating, I went for my first Parsi new year function and that’s when I saw the most beautiful girl, glowing in a pink sari. I was too nervous to even try and talk to her, but then all of a sudden my heart started racing as she approached and sat next to me. I had just graduated from Amy’s alma mater, UC Berkeley, and she asked if I went to Cal and if I had tried Daras. Of course that happened to be my favorite Thai food in Berkeley and we started talking. Later that night, Amy went bowling in her sari and wore her socks with her heels and that’s when I knew this is the most down to earth person and someone I can share my life with. We continued to text continuously for one year, of course I was too naïve to think someone so incredible would like me. But after a year of texting, and eventually meeting to watch Breaking Bad, I gained the confidence to ask the most wonderful person I had ever met to be mine.

Right after Amy's Birthday I said we will go to a sentimental park near her house where we will have a picnic with her favorite people: Yogi, Cassius, and Me (yes, in that order ;). At the park there is a bridge where I set up a table with chairs and her favorite pink champagne with some snacks. As she approached me on the bridge, I got on one knee and asked the question. She did not realize what I was asking until I got on my knee at which point she joyously said "YES!" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in May!
