Our story begins at Solel Preschool in 1998. Julian and Amy were 3 years old and could be seen on any given day playing together at recess, or sharing paint during art class. Julian and Amy grew up by each other’s sides, and they began their first official relationship together in 7th grade. Six weeks later this relationship came to an end (to Julian’s dismay). Little did they know that in 10 years, they would pick up where they left off. At the end of 2017, Julian and Amy reconnected through music and sparks flew immediately, as if no time had passed. On February 13th, 2018, Julian asked Amy to be his girlfriend after surprising her with a sushi dinner and tickets to the Lana Del Rey concert. Julian and Amy have spent the last four years building a beautiful life together with the help of their sweet dog Micah.
On September 18th, 2021, Julian proposed to Amy on the picturesque cliffs of Point Dume in Malibu, California. The masterminds behind the operation were Julian's sister Mara, Amy's step-sister Taylor, and Taylor's boyfriend Blake. The three of them planned to have Amy meet up at a mystery location that Julian would decide on. He had no idea where he would go, but he knew that wherever he went, it would be beautiful. Taylor convinced Amy to have a girls day, where they would go shopping, go out to lunch, and take photos on the beach, while Julian was "doing a music studio session" with his sister. Amy's intuition told her that something was up, but went along with it anyway. After a long day of shopping and eating their way around LA, Taylor brought Amy to their "photoshoot" location by the beach. Amy found Julian nestled on a cliff by following the sound of guitar: his rendition of Something by The Beatles. After (not so gracefully) falling down the cliff, Julian swept her back onto her feet, gave her a photo book filled with memories from the last 4 years, and then he popped the question. Amy's waterworks and her new glistening ring could be seen across state lines by her and Julian's closest friends and family, over FaceTime. Then, the newly engaged couple popped champagne, took some photos, cried some more, FaceTimed more people, soaked up the scenery, hiked back up the mountain, drove back to Taylor and Blake's apartment, and finally...took a long nap.
