Following are some hotels that are close to activities and the beach. We recommend them because they are on the edge of Waikiki so you are close to everything without having to drive through as much traffic. 

Waikiki in general is a good location if you do not want to rent a car.  Let us know when you are coming, we have a host of friends who can help shuttle you to your hotel and can arrange carpooling to the wedding location.
